Elizabeth Farmer ’05

Elizabeth Farmer, affectionately known as Liz, passed away at the age of 43, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of passion and dedication. Born to Pat and Dale Farmer, she was the beloved sister of Mike and his wife Jenny, along with their children Emma (24) and Drew (20), as well as her brother Tom and his wife Angie, and their children Jack (13), Brooks (10), and Eleni (7) along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Liz’s commitment to education was evident through her love for teaching and her unwavering dedication to the growth and development of early elementary children. Her educational journey was marked by her graduation from Hope College for her undergraduate studies and Grand Valley State for post graduate work in Education. Beyond her love for teaching, she also had a profound passion for photography and a deep affection for dogs. As her Liz became more ill, she also picked up other hobbies such as cooking and crafting.

While she may no longer be physically present, her impact on her students, family, and friends will be a cherished memory for years to come. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all those whose lives she touched. May her kind spirit, passion for education, and love for capturing special moments and adoring dogs continue to inspire many in the years ahead.
