He went on to attend Western Seminary in MI where he earned his Master of Divinity in 1985 and was recognized with the Presidential Scholarship for academic excellence. In later years, John furthered his education at Moraine Park Tech. His commitment to the Lord was rock-solid. His devotion to his wife and family was unshakable. His generosity to others was incredible, in spite of limited means and an intentionally simple lifestyle. He listened more than he spoke, and delighted in studying the Bible and committing large passages of Scripture to memory. He enjoyed God’s creation and went for long walks every day. He had a tender heart towards animals large and small. He was a much-loved son, husband, father, and grandfather, and he will be greatly missed. John is survived by his wife, Sandy; daughter, Megan (Eric) Nollet of Grand Rapids, MI; a grandson, Skyler Nollet; mother, Barbara Tousley of Brimfield, IL; two sisters, Janice (Richard) Driessnack and Leslie (Chris) Corneau; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
