David Roossien

David Paul Roossien of Holland, MI, passed away on Saturday December 2, 2023, at the age of 83. He was born in Holland, MI on April 28, 1940, to Richard and Minnie (Otting) Roossien. David was the oldest baptized member of Pillar Church, Holland, MI. David was a graduate of Davenport College. He retired after 35 years at Park Davis/Warner Lambert/Pfizer as a financial manager. He was a Master Gardener and he pursued his hobby with home gardening. David occasionally opened his garden to public tours through the Holland Garden Club. His love for music and support of organ music at Hope College was known throughout Western Michigan, with summer organ concerts at Pillar Church, Endowments for Music Scholarships, Endowments for Holland/Zeeland Symphony and a lifelong achievement donation of a Concert Organ and Concert Piano to the Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Art at Hope College. David is survived by: several cousins and many lifelong friends at Pillar Church. David was preceded in death by: his parents, Richard and Minnie Roossien. A public memorial will be held at Pillar Church on Wednesday, April 24th, 2024 at 11:00 am. A fall tribute concert will be presented by the Music Department of Hope College with performances by Alumni who were recipients of the David Paul Roossien Scholarship Fund.
