Gwendolyn Schmidt Snoek

Gwendolyn Lydia Snoek (“Gwen” or “Gwenda”) passed away peacefully at home in Denver, Colorado on September 2, 2022, after a 10-year struggle with ME. Gwenda had a B.A. in Linguistics from York University and a Ph.D. from Colorado State University in cognitive neuroscience and most recently worked as a researcher and assistant professor at Hope College in Holland, MI. She enjoyed traveling, especially to national parks, camping, hiking, biking, home decorating, and reading broadly. Gwenda is survived by her children, Eric Schmidt and Corinna Kuhn, her son-in-law, Nicholas Kuhn, her father, John Snoek, her sister, Yvonne Snoek Kearns, her niece and nephew ine Kearns and Aidan Kearns, numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles, and her dear friend Ed Niehaus.
