Daughn Schipper ’63 Greenwood

Daughn Lee Schipper Greenwood passed away on August 30, 2022, at age 81. She was born November
13, 1940, in Coopersville, MI to Lee C. Schipper and Arlene Fern Schipper. She was preceded in death by both of her parents, and then by her husband Terry in 2009.

She is survived by her brother Max Schipper ’66 (Sonja) currently in Ludington, her sister Lois (Tom) Nicholson currently in Tennessee, a nephew Todd (Lauren) Schipper currently in Ludington. She also has 3 stepchildren: Laura (George) Schout of Allegan, David (Karin) Greenwood of Hamilton, Jeff Greenwood of Allegan, 5 Grandchildren, and 5 Great Grandchildren.

Daughn attended Coopersville High School, where she played on Girls’ Varsity Basketball Team. She then graduated Hope College. She also coached women’s sports teams at Hope College.

She was active in Softball and Bowling for many years. Also, she was active in Holland Community

Theater for many years. She worked at Donnelly Mirrors until retirement, in a variety of positions.

Later in life, she hosted Lily, an exchange student from China. She also volunteered with Kid’s Hope network. She was active in the Handbell Group at First United Methodist Church for many years.
