Marian Klaasen ’43 Beltman

Marian Beltman, child of God, went to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 12. Born to Mary and John Klaasen on March 4, 1920, she grew up in Holland, Michigan, and married Henry ( Bud) Beltman in 1946. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Her life of love and service focused on her family, her church, and her community. A longtime member of Calvin CRC, she served the church in various capacities for many years. A positive, gracious, loyal and stylish woman, she will be missed by many. Her dedication to a life in Christ served as a testimony to all who knew her. She is survived by her children Bruce and Dorothea, Betsy and Thomas, Sara and Mark and Charles and Lorilee. Survivors also include nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A beloved sister, Bernice, and brothers-in-laws Frank ( Judy) and Kenneth (Diane) Beltman also survive her. Her husband and grandson, Benjamin, predecease her. A committal service will be held on Thursday June 15 at 10 AM at Pilgrim Home Cemetery in Holland Michigan. Following the committal, a visitation will be held at Calvin CRC, 700 Ethel Ave. Grand Rapids, from 2-4 PM. A memorial service is planned for July. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Calvin CRC, Attn: Family Assistance Fund
