Nancy Vyverberg ’51 Van Hall
Nancy H. Van Hall, 91, went to be with her Savior and Lord Jesus on Saturday May 29th 2021, at Mid-Michigan Medical Center. Nancy was born in Rochester, New York and has lived all her adult life in Michigan after graduating from Hope college in 1991 with an A.B. degree in biology and secondary education.She married Clayton Van Hall August 11th 1951 in Rochester, New York. She worked in a botany lab and agriculture chemistry lab during the years her husband attained his Ph.D. in analytical chemistry at MSU. She has been an active member of Midland Reformed Church since 1956 participating in many activities including weekly women’s prayer group starting in 1974 and various Bible study and church groups. She served on the board of the Midland Christian Women’s Club for many years and also visited regularly for over thirty-five years with the residents of Pinecrest County Farm with a greeting card ministry donating cards and writing for those unable to do so. Survivors include; daughter Lynne and husband Dan Plisek of Dubuque, Iowa; and son Richard and wife Teresa of Owego, New York; four grandchildren David, Catherine, Adrian, and Alexandra and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of sixty-four years, by sisters Marjorie and husband William Rottschafer, Betty and husband Willard Bolton; brothers Harvey and wife Eunice Vyverberg, and Richard and wife Katherine Vyverberg.
