Paul Paarlberg ’83
Paul Ronald Paarlberg , age 58, passed away Monday, February 18, 2019. Paul is survived by his wife Cynthia Sue Paarlberg, nee Boomsma, his son Nicholas Paul Paarlberg, and his mother Diane Paarlberg, nee Vos. Preceded in death by his father I. Ronald Paarlberg and his birth mother Rose Paarlberg, nee Kamstra.
Paul was a Christian brother to many, a loving cousin, and a fond uncle to the Paarlberg, Boomsma, Kamstra, Boersma, Vos, Douglass and Novotny families. Paul was a lifelong resident of South Holland, IL. He was a graduate of Thornwood High School, earned his bachelor’s degree from Hope College and his MBA from Keller.
Paul was employed as a business relation’s manger for BMO Harris Bank. Paul was also an adult education instructor for 20 years at South Suburban College, and for 10 years at Prairie State. Paul loved the Lord and was an active member at First Reformed Church in South Holland, served as a manager of Oak Ridge Cemetery for over 9 years, as a deacon, day care board member and choir member. Paul was a HO Train enthusiast and a photographer. He also volunteered for several non-profit Christian charities.
