Roger Prince

Roger D. Prince, age 79, of Holland died Friday, May 4, 2018 at Resthaven Maple Woods.
Roger was a member of Central Wesleyan. He had a real servant’s heart and worked hard for the church serving as an usher, driving bus and caring for the lawn. Roger was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean Conflict. He retired from the Ottawa County Road Commission after 35 years of service. After retirement he worked at Hope College and really enjoyed watching Hope College basketball.
He is survived by his wife Sandy of 37 years and daughters: Roxanne (Jeffrey) DeNeff and Cindy (Jon) Looman; grandson: Jonathan (Christina) Visser; great grandchildren: Brooklynn and Lukus; brothers and sister: Howard (Joan) Prince, Jerry (Linda) Prince, Ed (Wilma) Prince, Bob Prince, Will (Ann) Prince, Rick (Deb) Prince and Louise (Paul) Scholten; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Special thanks to the staff at Resthaven Maple Woods for their excellent and loving care during Roger’s short stay.
A memorial service with military honors will be 10:00 am, Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Central Wesleyan Church in the chapel, 446 West 40th Street in Holland. Please use entrance G. Reverend Lynn Bruce will be officiating. Burial will be in Graafschap Cemetery.
