Ellen Brandle ’86
Ellen Brandle ’86 reports that after 11 years in
the same position at the same school (teaching
English and German to five- and six-year-olds
in an English language immersion program at
an international school in Berlin), she requested
in September to take over a new class of six year
olds who are at high risk should they become
infected with the coronavirus. Teaching now
only in German, she can only say that “Corona”
has availed her a most interesting professional
challenge. Due to the current global situation,
she is most thankful to be able to work with these
unique children at this very surreal time.
