Laman’s winning photo shows an endangered Bornean orangutan in Gunung Palung national park. Laman climbed more than 90 feet on multiple days to place GoPro cameras where the orangutan wouldn’t see them. He then captured the images using a remote trigger. He also received first place in the Nature-Stories category with “Pursued by Fire”, “Road to Destruction” and “End of the Line?”
