Randall Cain ’72

Randall Allan Cain, 72, of Boulder, Colorado joined the angels in Heaven on July 4, 2022, after a brave battle with Myelodysplastic Syndrome. Randy was born on May 28th to Doris & Bud Cain in St. Joseph, Michigan where he attended St. Joseph High School. He went on to Hope College in Holland, Michigan where he graduated with a Business Degree in 1972. He was a well known member of the Knickerbocker Fraternity and met his wife, Linda, when he gallantly offered the use of his umbrella to walk to her to class on a rainy afternoon. If you knew Randy, you knew of his passions for golf, cooking, his family and his faith. Watching him cook or listening to him talk about his kids and grandkids, would always be accompanied by his genuine warm smile and twinkling blue eyes. He was a man of great faith and prayed over his loved ones and community daily. He is preceded in death by his parents, Doris and Bud Cain, his Mother and Father-in-Law, Mikkey and Don Dalton, his older brother, Larry Cain, sister-in-law, Laura Cain and brother-in-law, Lon Dalton. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Cain, their 4 children and spouses, Karessa Cain (Michael Hay), Karli Simon (Mark Simon), Abbey Cain (Andy Butt) and Joshua Cain, their 4 grandchildren, Saielle, Liam, Lilou and Townsend, as well as his niece, nephews, and brother and sister-in-law who all miss him deeply. Despite numerous medical challenges over the last 50 years, he never lost his zest for life and met each day with hope and determination.
