Matthew Erickson ’94

Matthew E. Erickson, 49, a doctor of chiropractic and owner of Body Right Chiropractic, died Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Mease Countryside Hospital.

Dr. Matt grew up in Maple City, MI and attended Glen Lake Schools where he graduated from high school in 1990.  He then attended Hope College in Holland, Michigan where he obtained a degree in Chemistry in 1994.  Upon graduation from Hope College, he moved on to Palmer College of Chiropractic where he earned his doctorate in Chiropractic in 1998.
He owned and operated Great Lakes Chiropractic in Traverse City, Michigan from 1998-2008.  In 2008, he moved to Palm Harbor, Florida and opened Body Right Chiropractic in Clearwater, Florida.

Dr. Matt was the son of Maurice (deceased) and Margaret Erickson of Maple City, Michigan.  On June 15, 1996 he married Barbara VandenBrink, who survives.

Other survivors include his children Travis (Ezra), Levi, and Jessica.  Also surviving are his mother, Margaret, his brothers, David and Roger, his sisters, Roberta, Dawn, and Shannon, and numerous in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
