Wallace Van Liere ’43

Wallace Van Liere ’43 of Eden Prairie,
Minnesota, passed away August 2, 2017 at the age of 95. Preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Betty. Survived by children, Sandy Elfstrom (Steve), Kent (Jennifer), Keith (Cheryl) and Ross; also survived by grandchildren, Adam, Alicia, Kiera, Briana and Jocelyn; and great-grandchildren, Reichen, Audrey and Quinn. Dad and granddaddy will be missed by all but forever in our hearts. Wally was very proud of his service in the US Army during WWII having achieved the rank of First Lieutenant. After his service he led a successful career as a business owner. He retired to Brownsville, TX in 1986 for 26 years, returning to Minnesota in 2012 to be closer to his family. Much thanks to the Health East Hospice folks. Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.
