Donald Boeve

The family of Donald Boeve of Holland, Michigan, who died on Saturday, Sept. 3, 2017. He was 83.

He was the son of Lester and Alyda Boeve, and was preceded in death by a brother, Arnold.

He was a member of Calvary Christian Reformed Church and was a veteran of the Army, serving in the post-Korea era.

He was a self-employed barber for many years and retired from the physical plant of Hope College. Don also enjoyed his many years of volunteering at Bibles for Mexico.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Millie; children and grandchildren, Mary Wilson of Holland (Kyle and Amber), Tom Boeve of Holland; brothers and sisters, Anabelle Kluitenberg of Holland, Bonnie Sanford of California, Irv and Sharon Boeve of Holland, Jim and Von Boeve of Holland, Terry and Rosie Boeve of Holland; in-laws, Barbara Boeve of Zeeland, Betty Wiggers of Coopersville, Claryce Klaassen of Cutlerville, Wes and Marge Wiggers of Jamestown, Dennis and Rosemary Wiggers of St. Louis, MO, Bruce and Barb Wiggers of South Haven; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service with military honors will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 7, 2017, at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th St., Holland, with Rev. Dr. John David Punch officiating.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 6, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be given to Bibles for Mexico or Faith Hospice.
