Harold Bazan ’55

Harold Bazan, age 84 of Vriesland, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, June 4, 2016.

He was a man of deep faith, who infused everything he did with his unique sense of humor, showing kindness to everyone he met.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Betty; children: Sue and Bruce Vanden Beldt, Pat and Terry Hop, Gary and Cheryl Bazan, Bev and Aaron Fletcher, Mary Beth and Rex Rogers and Amy and Russ Kellicut; 30 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; brothers: Wes and Millie Bazan and Ken and Mari Lou Bazan; in-laws: Annie Burgess, Ken and Margaret Vanden Berg, Mel and Lorraine Vanden Berg, Linda and Vic Berkompas and Larry and Greta Vanden Berg.

Harold was preceded in death by his son-in-law Brian Hoeve; sisters: Delores Emelander and Linda Flier; sister-in-law Lori Kloosterman. Harold was a member of Vriesland Reformed Church where he served as a Sunday School teacher and on the consistory.
