Richard Laham Gantos, 87, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2024, surrounded by his wife Claire, daughter Reinita, and granddaughter Bella in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Richard, born August 23, 1936, in Grand Rapids, MI, graduated from Ottawa Hills High School and Hope College, where he was an avid football player. Richard then went on to pursue and earn his PHD in mathematics from Michigan State University in 1965.
After retiring from Gantos Inc. in 1990, Richard moved to Santa Fe, NM, where he spent his retirement years playing golf, listening to classical music, working on math problems, and enjoying time with his beloved granddaughter, Bella Angelina Gaby.
Richard is preceded in death by both his parents, Haseebie and Theodore, in addition to 3 brothers; Douglas, David, and Daniel.
Richard is survived by, and is greatly missed by, his wife Claire, his daughter Reinita, and his granddaughter Bella Angelina, Gaby.
