Kathleen Corcoran ’96 Varboncoeur

Kathleen Ann (Corcoran) Varboncoeur, age 47, passed away unexpectedly as the result of an automobile accident on Tuesday, March 22, 2022. She was born to Nancy (Curthoys) Corcoran and the late Laurence Corcoran in Roosevelt Park, MI on June 11, 1974. Kathleen attended Muskegon Catholic Schools and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Education with honors from Hope College. She taught primary grades at St. Michael Catholic School and Three Oaks Academy before joining the Muskegon Public Schools System. Most recently, she taught second grade at Moon School. Kathleen was a dedicated teacher and loved her students. She appreciated being part of the professional and friendly environment at Moon School. As much as Kathleen loved teaching, the joy of her life was her twin daughters, Hannah and Sarah, age 10. She enjoyed their energy and creativity. Kathleen was preceded in death by her father, Laurence. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters and their father, Adam Varboncoeur of Muskegon; her mother, Nancy Corcoran of Roosevelt Park; her brother, Kevin (Stephanie Krus) Corcoran of Middleton, CT; and special friend Jason Dephouse of Spring Lake.
