Thorval Hansen ’60

Thorval A. Hansen, age 83, of Jenison, was called to his heavenly father on Wednesday, July 22, 2020. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline; daughter, Kerri; sisters, Judy Moore, and Joyce LeValley. He will be lovingly remembered by his children; Peggi (Bob) DeGraff, Kristi (Mark) McKamey; grandchildren, Tom (Lindsey), Andy (Shelby), Brad (Marissa), Shayna (Kevin), Brittney (Tyler), Tyler (Tricia), and Clay; seven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Thor was a loving, caring husband, father, and grandfather. He valiantly served his country as a Sergeant in the Michigan National Guard. Even in his spare time he was involved in teaching and school activities, having founded the 6th grade camp experience for Jenison Public Schools. Thor enjoyed traveling with his wife and family and traveled internationally after retirement. Thor had a strong faith in God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit and passed that faith along to his family and others.
