Ruth Muilenburg ’36 Jeffery

Ruth Muilenburg ’36 Jeffery died peacefully at the incredible age of 102.

Born November 30, 1914, Ruth, also known Mom, Mud, Gma, and GG, saw and touched more in her lifetime than most. Ruth was a woman of many talents and passions.

She taught 3rd grade for 23 years, was an accomplished cellist for 86 years, and traveled the world throughout these years as often as possible. Everyone who met Ruth loved her, and she had a way of appreciating the best in others, allowing her to make friends everywhere she went. Her sparkling blue eyes reflected her remarkable spirit, her love for adventure and learning, and her zest for life.

Ruth was a PK (Preacher’s Kid), and her faith buoyed her many times in her full life. Meeting her husband, “Jeff”, also a teacher, solidified her home in Michigan, later, throwing in winters in Florida to round out her seasons.

She is survived by her daughter Sue (Dean), son Bill (Susan),six grandchildren: Beth, Angela, Alisa, Cinda, Amy, Jeff, and twelve great-grandchildren; all better for having been a part of her life.
