Ross Baldwin ’00

Ross Baldwin ’00 was born April 26, 1978 in Lansing, the son of Frank and Kathleen (Fast) Baldwin, and passed away on May 17, 2017 at the age of 39.

Ross loved being a St. Thomas Tartan, LCHS Cougar, and Hope College Flying Dutchman. He lettered all 4 years with the Hope College football team. Ross was passionate about teaching history and driver’s education at LCHS.

He spent much time on the field coaching LCHS football, St. Gerard basketball, and most importantly, Fiona’s t-ball team. Ross was a devoted and loving husband, father, son, brother and friend. He brought much joy into the lives of all who crossed his path.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Surviving to cherish his memory are his parents; beloved wife Rachel; son Patrick Scaparro and daughter Fiona Freeman; brother Dane (Michelle) Baldwin; sister, Carmen (Brad) Bollinger; and mother-in-law Sally Freeman; and brother-in-law Al Freeman.
