Lynn Post ’56

Rev. Lynn I. Post, 91, passed away peacefully in Holland, Michigan on January 17, 2022. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Phyllis (DeWeerd ’54); their children Bill ( Ruth) Post, Matt ( Kris) Post, Jane Post ’91 ( Jon) Montgomery. He was blessed with 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Lynn was born in Holland on March 27,1930. He was raised in Holland and graduated from Hope College after serving honorably in the U. S. Navy during the Korean War. Lynn and Phyllis were married in Holland on May 2,1952. Lynn was a teacher, coach and counselor at several schools in Michigan and Washington state. In 1973, Lynn entered the ministry, graduating from Western Theological Seminary. Lynn served as a pastor at Immanuel Community Reformed Church in Lansing, Michigan, and First Reformed Church of Holland. Lynn’s family will hold a private celebration of his life.
