Gaye Rudis ’78 Rollins

Rollins, Gaye age 65, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2021 with family at her side. She was born in Muskegon on July 20, 1956 to Richard (Dick) and Joanne Rudis. She graduated from Muskegon High School, and Hope College with a Bachelor in Music Education. She taught at White Lake Christian School for 7 years and led her choir to a state championship before retiring with health issues. Gaye was a woman of incredible faith and devotion to her Lord. She led the choirs at several area churches, and performed in the West Shore Symphony on the piano and percussion. She loved her Lord, and she loved people. Gaye had the most positive attitude about everything in life and had a perpetual smile. Despite many medical concerns and health setbacks, she never let anything overcome her positive attitude. She was preceded in death by her father. Gaye and her family were longtime members of Forest Park Covenant Church. Survivors include husband Eric Rollins ’78, daughter Meghan, mother Joanne Rudis, sister Susan (Randy) Morse, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Special thanks to her long term doctor and friend Karen Seaver MD, to whom we owe more than we can ever repay for her skillful and loving care. Cremation has taken place, and friends and family will be invited to a memorial service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please send cards.
