Delvin Huisingh ’55

Delvin ” Del” Huisingh, age 88, of Zeeland, passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at Royal Park Place with family by his side.

Del was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was a lifetime member of Borculo Christian Reformed Church and was known for his strong Christian faith. Del worked self-employed for 37 years as a State Farm Insurance Agent in Zeeland.

Del was preceded in death by his daughter, Pat Huisingh, in 2017; grandson, Austin Huisingh, in 2019; siblings: Jim Huisingh, Johnny Huisingh; and in-laws: Jack ( Joyce) Lamer and Gary (Linda) Lamer.

He is survived by his wife, Glenda (Lamer) Huisingh; children: Paul & Kris Huisingh ( Stacey & Joe Deters ( Gavin, Adler), Stefanie & Andy VanderKooi (Kaitlyn, Alyssa, Aiden), Rod & Kris Huisingh ( Blake); siblings: Lil Huisingh, Roger (Carol) Huisingh, Howard ( Judy) Huisingh; inlaws: Don (Mary) Lamer; and many nieces and nephews.

A time of visitation will be held Sunday, November 7, 2021 from 4:00pm-6:00pm at Yntema Funeral Home. A celebration of life to honor Del will take place 11: 00am on Monday, November 8, 2021 at Borculo Christian Reformed Church with an hour of visitation prior. Pastor Stephen Terpstra and Pastor Allen Petroelje will officiate. Burial will take place in Borculo Cemetery.
