Loren Kleis ’77

Loren Kleis ’77, age 61, of Holland, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016, knowing the hope of the resurrection in Jesus Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Adelaide (Lezman) Kleis; and was a member of Maplewood Reformed Church for many years.

This kind and gentle soul spent his last days at Faith Hospice, Trillium Woods being cared for by the wonderful staff there. His journey started December 2014 when he was diagnosed with MDS. Loren waged a brave battle before he succumbed to the disease.

Loren retired from Gemmen’s hardware in Hudsonville in June, following many years of employment.

Loren is survived by several cousins, Dan and Mary Sal, Rich and Marlene Sal, Ron Lezman, Nelvin and Eleanor DeWeerd, Marlene Tyink, Dale Jipping, Leola Rose, Jack and Mary Lezman, and Curt Lezman. Also by his very special and dear friends, Dan and Rhonda Hengst and their children.
