Frederick Bauer ’54

Frederick Bauer ’54  died unexpectedly at his home in Swannanoa.

Born in Queens, New York, he was a graduate of Hope College, Holland, Michigan. Following his graduation he completed his military duty in the US Army. He worked in New York City until retiring to Western North Carolina in 1996.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Joanne; son, Keith (Callie) of South Salem, NY; daughter, Lynn Carter of Jacksonville, Fl and four grandchildren, Allison, Lucas, Ryan and Sarah, and beloved sister-in-law, Elizabeth (Biff) Bauer of Nebo, NC, along with niece Kathy; nephew Fred, plus many friends. He was predeceased in death by his parents and his beloved brother, Robert “Bob” Bauer ’64. He was a fine man and loved by all who knew him.
