Amy Avery ’02 Weese and husband, Chad
Weese, went on an expedition to Antarctica
in February. They spent 10 days with Albatros
Expeditions and saw penguins, seals, humpback
whales and orcas, and finished up their trip
with a polar plunge. She also graduated with
her Doctorate in Ministry degree (D.Min) from
MTSO, the Methodist Theological School in
Ohio. She is in private practice, Amy Avery
Counseling Solutions, in Columbus, Ohio,
and is in conversation with a publishing
company about her doctorate, “Navigating
the Transition from Shame to Vulnerability: A
Qualitative Study of Clients’ Experiences” into a
book for pastors and clinicians.
