Brenda Conant ’88 Wierenga-Huyser
reports that her first husband, Dean Wierenga
’88, passed away in July 2011 after 23 years of
marriage and shortly after graduating from
seminary in May 2011, and that it has been a
tough grief journey. She shares that God brought
her a new husband, Dave Huyser, in June 2017
and they are starting a new life in Byron Center,
Michigan. She left Spectrum Health after 30
years and is now at Metro Health and loving it.
